Think of this as the down jacket for your van. Our 35mm thermal fleece van insulation is the layer that sits between your van's bare metal and your interior panels, trapping air and keeping the heat where it belongs, inside.

Unlike rigid foam boards, thermal fleece campervan insulation is genuinely easy to work with. It bends, folds and stuffs into awkward gaps, curves and cavities without cutting tools or mess. Solid insulation boards can be more thermally efficient in ideal conditions, but they're a nightmare around wheel arches, ribs and frame curves, and they're notorious for squeaking when the van is moving. Fleece doesn't squeak.

How to use it

Stuff it everywhere you can, walls, floor cavities, door panels, any gap you can get it into. The key is not to compress it too much; the air trapped inside the fibres is what does the insulating work. Squash it flat and you lose the benefit.

On the roof it's a judgement call. Some vans simply don't have the clearance. A VW T5/T6 for example doesn't have enough space between the roof lining and the metal roof to fit a layer of van insulation. Check your van's headroom before ordering for the roof.

Other uses

While it's popular as campervan and motorhome insulation, thermal fleece is a versatile material with plenty of other applications. It works well as a loft or attic insulation topper, filling gaps and awkward spaces where rigid boards won't reach. It's also used in garden rooms, outbuildings and anywhere you need a lightweight, flexible insulation that's easy to handle.
