Hi, we're Jonny and Rob.
We set up 4 Way Stretch Direct because we kept running into the same problem: good quality 4-way stretch carpet lining was either hard to find, overpriced, or being sold by people who had never actually fitted it. We have, more times than we can count, so we figured we could do better.
How We Got Here
Between us, Jonny and Rob have spent years working in and around the campervan and van conversion trade. We have worked alongside professional converters, helped first-time self-builders get their first wheel arch looking right, and tried pretty much every material on the market. We know which fabrics stretch cleanly around a curve, which ones crease and bubble, and why the cheap alternatives tend to cost more in the long run once you factor in the frustration.
Eventually it made more sense to start supplying direct rather than watching customers get let down by products that did not perform. So that is what we did.
What We Stock and Why
We focus on 4-way stretch carpet lining because, in our experience, it is the best option for most van builds. It moulds around curves without cutting or joining, it is durable, and it finishes well. We stock it in a range of colours and sell it by the metre so you only buy what you need. We also send out free samples, because we would rather you get the right colour first time than end up with something that does not look right once it is in the van.
